This is a conversation I had with one of the kids today...
It all started with someone saying something about me being or not being cool
Me: "I am cool"
Eli: "Your Not Cool"
Me: "Gasp"
Me: "Who thinks I'm cool?" (most of the kids raise their hand and say I am cool, my self worth starts building back up)
Eli: "Your not cool, your beautiful!"
My heart melts. It was all so funny.
So what's better, being cool or being beautiful? After today I know I'm both.

I think beautiful. Before you start to think that I am vain, here is my reasoning: when someone uses the word Beautiful, to me, it encompasses way more than looks. Beautiful is the way you live your life, the thoughts you have and your inner most desires... when all these things are virtuous and lovely then they all show on the outside and you. Are. Beautiful. (and that makes you REALLY cool)
I'm guessing Jamee doesn't subscribe to the idea that beauty is only skin deep? I feel like anything I write will not hold a candle to Jamee's post so I will just tell you in person what I think. :)

Um...I would've said "cool" until I read Jamee's comment. I subscribe to her idea and not Jamon's of 'beautiful'. I really like that "be your own kind of beautiful" poster with the roses and the daisy. "You remember that? That was awesome!" (Chris Farley)
Both cool and beautiful are good. And, yeah, you are both. So rock on!
