Easter

Instead of dealing with all the drama of an organized Easter Egg Hunt we decided to have on at our house.  The Weather turned out awesome, even though we are all wearing jackets.

This is how Asher enjoys his Easter Eggs

Leslie and I may have went a bit overboard for two kids, but it was fun and only half the eggs were filled.

You know it’s good when fingers are licked.

 

Easter Morning we woke up to our own little hunt. We tried to hide Liam’s eggs so he had to actually look for them.  It was hard for him not to get the ones that I laid in the middle of the room for Asher.

The boys each go their own chair. 

Liam got the movie Cars, a shirt, Sunday pants, and a few toys

Asher got Mulan, 2 new shirts, a new tie, bubbles and a book.

 

I am quite upset with myself for not taking a family picture on Easter. We all looked fantastic, but with it being fast Sunday and one o’clock church we just wanted to eat and to eat we had to change our clothes.  You’ll just have to trust me.

10 months

It’s true, Asher is another month older.  Sometimes I think he is so big and other times he seems too small to be doing all he’s doing.

 

Asher 10 months:

• Stands up without holding onto anything. Does this quite often and for longer periods of time.
• Hair is growing but he still looks bald.

• His top teeth have been threatening to break through for a month now.  He still only has two teeth.
• Finally knows how to go downstairs.  It’s quite scary to watch, but he hasn’t fallen yet.
• Decided to venture off the blanket while we are outside, he doesn’t really like grass so he hurries really fast to the sidewalk.

• Waves to a select few people.
• Gets very excited about eating banana’s
• Just getting over the worst diaper rash he’s ever had (thanks to mom’s stupidity…I gave him, more than once, cheesy potatoes that had cream of mushroom soup and sour cream in it.  What was I thinking?)

• Always has something in his mouth.  I’m not talking about a piece of something from the floor, it’s a toy or a cord, but usually a shoe.  He’ll crawl around with it just hanging out.
• Likes to chew on shoes, which is gross.  I can’t even think about what he’s put into his mouth.

• Easiest way to make him laugh is to raise him up in the air and then bring him down, you don’t even have to throw him, but that also gets a good laugh.
• Definitely thinks his brother is pretty cool.  Loves to be where ever Liam is.
• Loves the dishwasher.  It drives me crazy.

We’ve done this and that

Today I transferred pictures from my camera to my external hard drive so I thought I would share some.  

Every morning I feed Asher then set him down in his room and I leave and do whatever I need to do and Asher usually follows.  This particular morning I think I went back to bed.  After laying there for a while I realized Asher never came out of his room.  I went in to find him sitting on his night stand after he cleared it off.  He really thought he was cool.

Liam’s first sleepover with his cousins.  He even fell asleep, I was surprised. Of course, it was midnight.

Went to St. George in March where is was nice and warm.  This was Asher’s first time with grass. He loved being outside. 

We took Liam bowling for the first time and he LOVED it.  He had a very hard time waiting his turn.

 

This is at the Zoo.  Asher absolutely loves sitting forward in the stoller.

If you get to the zoo at the right time you will get to see the polar bear up close.

Asher got ahold of an orange.  He, of course loved it.  He pulled so many funny faces, here they are.

I don’t remember when or why I took this picture, but it sure is cute.

Helping dad vacuum the stairs.  This is the closest Liam has come to the vacuum in a while.

 

To make sure Liam doesn’t do anything crazy while I’m in the shower I let do whatever he wasn’t on my ipad.  This day he decided to watch Backyardigans.  I guess that wasn’t enough, because he was also watching Chuck and Friends on my phone.

And…it was my birthday.  Check out this cake my sister made.  It’s a smores cake.  Really it was a bit of everything cake. brownie, cookie dough, graham crackers, cheese cake, marshmallow, and chocolate icing through out.  It was extremely rich, but it was delicious.

9 Months

Development wise Asher had a slower month, but don’t think that means that Asher has slowed down.  He is EVERYWHERE all the time. We are having quite the adventure.

Asher’s 9 month stats

• Weight: 18.8lbs 20th percentile (a big jump from the 6th percentile at 6 months)
• Weight: 28 inches 30th percentile
• Head 45.9 cm 70th percentile

• Eats everything we put in his mouth
• has eaten charcoal (cold) several times. 
• Climbs up the stairs, but still can’t go down, except when falling or Liam pushes him down
• Started cruising around the furniture

• Lets go of furniture to stand on his own, but only for a second.  When we try to get him to stand he gets too excited and can’t stop bouncing
• touched grass and played outside for the first time (thank you St. George)
• starting to have a little fear of anyone that is not mom and dad

• Likes to crawl through the stools and chairs and often gets himself stuck.
• Favorite toy is a cord of any kind
• After naps or in the morning he will always give me a hug.  I love it!

4 years

I first have to say I’m sorry to Jamon for not being more on top of things this year.  5 days ago we celebrated our 4 year Anniversary.  We celebrated by doing whatever we wanted while my sister watched the boys.  It was Awesome!  I love being with just Jamon.

Here is quick review of our 4th year (events are in no particular order except the first one being the highlight of the year).

• Had baby Number 2 (which is why this list is so short)
• Staci’s last sibling, Jodee, got married in the Bountiful Temple (first time in that temple for both of us)
• Jamon’s last brother, Tyson, got Married in the Mesa AZ Temple (first time in that temple also) 
• Jamon is still Elder’s Quorum President
• Met D. Todd Christofferson
• Staci called as a primary teacher
• Dad Andelin called as a Mission President
• Both of us lost a Grandma
• Jamon hiked Mount Whitney
• Grew corn in our Garden for the first time
• Got a Zoo pass
• Bottled Peaches by ourselves for the first time
• Jamon worked WAY too many hours
• Because of too many hours worked Staci spent many hours at her parents house

8 Months

This last month has brought big changes for Asher.  He has grown so much.  AHHHH is all I have to say.

Asher at 8 Months:

• Crawls…all the time and gets into everything
• fallen down the stairs…twice…I don’t think he gets that he will fall every time

 

• has two teeth
• No longer nursing…because of teeth. Thinks its funny to bite and see mom mad.
• fell out of crib
• can sit himself up from after crawling – the first time he did it was in the bathtub
• pulls himself up and stands – the first time he did this was also in the bathtub…why…
• obviously bath time is still his favorite time of the day
• loves climbing up by the fire and watching it.
• eats anything in front of him REALLY fast
• makes a funny throating noise all the time
• still smiles ALL THE TIME
• climbed up one stair

This awesome cutie doesn’t seem so little anymore.  He’s growing up way to fast. Faster than Liam did.  I’m not comparing the two, but I remember that when Liam was this age I wondered why he wasn’t crawling and pulling himself up and where were his teeth. Now that Asher is doing all this I want it to slow down.  We are having tons of fun.  Asher was even able to join in with Liam and I when we were playing.
